I get it, I've been where you are! My journey into scar work started 2 years after the birth of my second son...I was getting consistent pain and tightness in my jaw that nothing would shift. My scar felt tight and pulled in creating a serious overhang! I had lower back pain and hip pain and I tried EVERYTHING from massage to acupuncture, chiropractic care to creams with no long term relief!

Why do I need to massage my c-section scar?
Scar massage has been shown to help reduce scar tissue symptoms and help free up and reduce symptoms of your c-section scar such as pulling, tightness, increased circulation to the are and as a result aid its natural healing process.
Is this suitable for my c-section scar?
This is suitable for anybody who has given birth by caesarean section. These techniques should not be used before 8 weeks to allow the wound and surrounding tissues time to heal. You should also not use these techniques if mesh has been used within this area. If your scar has reopened at any time it is important to wait a little longer until it is fully healed. There is no upper 'scar age' and if you have had it for a few months or even years you can still use the techniques as well, it may just take a little longer to see and feel results.
I hate touching my scar, will this help?
If you hate to touch your scar this may help with the physical side of your scar tissue but not the emotional side. You can however work on it in your own time and I have provided some simple tips to improve your confidence with this if it is a problem.
